This time, I’m gonna write a tutorial for installing Rookit Hunter.
- Download the source from the Sourceforge :
http://sourceforge.net/projects/rkhunter/files/latest/downloador you can download it directly from here :

- Setup rkhunter to run daily scan reports :
# nano -w /etc/cron.daily/rkhunter.sh
Add the following line :
#!/bin/bash (/usr/local/bin/rkhunter -c --cronjob 2>&1 | mail -s "RKHunter Scan Details" administrator@webhost.com)
- Set the permission for the file :
# chmod +x /etc/cron.daily/rkhunter.sh
